EVANGELINA KARABATSAS
|
Early in 2008 Evangelina Karabatsas graduated from Melbourne University. Following her graduation Ange was determined to keep learning about herself and the world around her. She wanted to gain more perspectives on life and life experiences and most importantly she wanted to help others. Ange applied for and was accepted into the YCA program (Youth Challenge Australia – a not for profit organisation that promotes personal, community and global development).
In December of 2008, Ange will be travelling to Vanuatu as a volunteer for 10 weeks with YCA. During her field project, Ange will live and work with a small group of fellow volunteers completing powerful community based projects, such as medical outreach, building construction, youth conferencing and environmental work in a poor and disadvantaged community in Vanuatu.
Wilderness Wear Australia is a proud sponsor of Ange and applauds her commitment to both learn about and assist a project that supports a disadvantaged community.
